Yeah. We need to talk about this.
You’re a PE teacher. The year is done. The kids are gone. The sports hall smells slightly less like feet than it did in June. And instead of actually resting, actually switching off, you’re lying somewhere thinking about the preparation work you need to get done for September.

One in three teachers are always working during the school holidays. Only 9%. NINE! Actually have a full break.

That’s not a holiday. That’s a slightly quieter version of the job.
Full-time teachers are clocking 51 hours a week. And that’s before you count the stuff you do in your own time because you can’t stop thinking about it. Which you can. Not.
Here’s What Actually Matters
Rest isn’t lazy. Cognitive performance genuinely improves when you give your brain a proper break. Better sleep. Clearer thinking. More joy.
More joy. In teaching. Imagine.
